This architect designed house has a casual but sophisticated ambiance. There are four bedrooms all with private bathrooms. Two double bedrooms and one twin. One double bedroom is linked to the entrance and living room by a Breeze Way which has a double bed, great for taking a siesta or for the whole night. The fourth bedroom is a studio room on the ground floor, perfect for a teenager, cook, nanny or grandparents. The fifth room is a Morrocan theamed media room with a kitchen, which sleep four.

A large deck with fabulous views over tree tops to the sea and a large private garden. There is a huge jacuzzi and a swim spa with hammocks to while the time away. A beautiful family room and kitchen, breeze ways which include a dining area, a siesta room and a large outside table for al fresco dining. The house is set in its own 3 acre tropical garden with large amounts of fruit trees - bananas, cashews, oranges, mangoes etc located in a 120 acre private gated community which is beautifully planted with vast amounts of tropical plants encouraging the wonderful birds and butterflies. You can walk from the house to the restaurant and the beach in a few minutes. You can swim directly to the second largest barrier reef in the world next to the Great Barrier Reef, you can Bone Fish and you can play golf by taking the boat for 6 minutes from the dock to the new Black Pearl Golf Course. There are fabulous restaurants on the islands with terrific seafood with beautiful beaches, lovely people and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere.

All of these sports are available from Palmetto Bay. The reef which you can swim to fro Palmetto Bay beach is part of the second largest barrier reef in the world (next to the Great Barrier Reef) so the diving is some of the best in the world. There is also wonderful Bone Fishing. The new Black Pearl Golf Resort designed by the Pye's is a 20 minute walk along the beach or a 7 minute boat ride from the dock - or drive. There are kayaks available on the beach too.

Palmetto Bay Plantation is a 15 minute drive to Coxon Hole - locally known as Roatan City is the largest town and the capital of the Bay Islands. Coxen Hole is the major hub for politics on Roatan with the municipal, immigration, court house, hospital clinic, and banks centrally located.

Although there are not many tourist attractions in the city there are some very nice gift shops and island restaurants. The rich culture of the island people that make up Coxen Hole makes for a unique atmosphere that most people find very intriguing. The city is also the gateway to Roatan where the ferry boats from the mainland and other Bay Islands arrives. The airport is located on the out skirts of the city that is actually within walking distance if you feel up to exercise. There is regular bus service and taxi service to West End, French Harbor and Oak Ridge. Establish your rates in advance and Ask taxi drivers for a rate sheet.

French Harbour has some fun waterside bistros including 'Gino's and West End, with its sand streets has many restaurants and bars. You can take a boat to West Bay for more bars, restaurants and an endless white sand beach.
