Local restaurants will be showcasing a variety of scallop dishes and there'll be tasting events, cookery schools, demonstrations, music and lots more.

Hastings Herring Fair (November)

Help celebrate an often-undervalued but very versatile fish – and support a local industry. The Hastings fishing fleet has been catching local herring for centuries and if you've ever tried bloaters, bucklers, kippers or pickled herring, or seen a sparkling catch of these distinctive silvery fish, you'll know what we're talking about. There's cookery demos, loads of produce stalls, sea-themed kids' activities, beer and a ceilidh, so it's a lovely family event. See you there!
