A foot of snow fell in Storrington and Pulborough overnight! I cannot remember seeing this amount of snow before Christmas ever. So what odds now on a white Christmas?
This winter spell has finally reached us here in Sussex!! Our sunshine coast around Eastbourne and Bexhill has had up to 18 inches of snow. It is so rare for us to have any snowfall at all along the line of the Sussex coast! We have certainly awoken to an even more picturesque county than normal this morning!
The South Downs look particularly spectacular in this early winter wonderland! So much so we have posted a photo on our slideshow of the beautiful South Downs Way in winter! If you like what you see, why not take a look at our Christmas and New Year availability. We still have cottages with cosy open fires and woodburning stoves that would make a perfect rural retreat over this festive season.
