Hey, if you're planning to visit Sussex without a car, or if you're staying in one of our pretty holiday cottages and you just want a break from driving, did you know the local buses offer a variety of good-value tickets? These vary from day rovers to weekly and monthly passes, and the routes cover the South Downs and other rural areas as well as the Sussex coast and major towns and tourist spots. You'll be able to take the dog, too, as long as he or she is well-behaved - and that of course applies to many of our Sussex holiday cottages as well; have a look at our website for details of our dog-friendly self-catering properties. So if you're on foot you'll still be able to consider our selection of South Downs cottages for your holiday or short break.
Our coastal cottages, town apartments and holiday lets with sea views are great bases for a car-free trip. We also have world-class galleries such as the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne and Pallant House. For a quiet week away or a short winter break, I know a lot of you love to be within an easy stroll of both the outdoor life and some town amenities, and we have plenty of accommodation options to suit those requirements - click here to view our late availability.
