I never get around to reading the weekend papers until much later in the week, so some news is old news, but here I'm definitely not too late!
The Telegraph Online published an article on the top ten stately homes to visit over the Bank Holiday weekend featuring Arundel Castle, the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk in West Sussex as number one in Britain. Anyone who read their articles more promptly than me would have had time to get to Arundel in time for the conclusion of this year's Arundel Festival! If you didn't Arundel and Arundel Castle still awaits your visit.
The travel section of the Saturday Telegraph also published an article on West Sussex with features around the forthcoming Goodwood Revival Meeting on 16/17 and 18 September. The Goodwood Revival is always popular and accommodation books quickly. We do have accommodation left at two nearby properties, The Stables in Walberton and House on the Brooks just south of Pulboough for anyone still looking for somewhere to stay. Whilst visiting don't forget West Dean Gardens, The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Amberley Working Museum, Bignor Roman Villa and of course Arundel Castle. All get a mention in the Telegraph and all are listed on our own website for more information.
