Advice for holiday homeowners

With so many options of where and how to market your holiday home, why should you, as a holiday home owner, list your property with us as opposed to another company?  It’s an easy answer – because we do things properly!  We don’t cut corners, we don’t make unrealistic promises and we are easy to get hold of when you need us.  We live in and know Sussex extremely well and can give sound and useful advice with regards to running your holiday home.  We can advise you to set your rates appropriately and don’t just leave you to struggle through.  We can point you in the right direction if you need to find a housekeeper, and can advise you of the correct presentation and appealing features to consider for your holiday home.  We are at the end of a telephone line if you need to discuss anything – no switchboards to go through, no big call centre, purely a small team of dedicated staff ready to help!

We ensure that our booking team come and visit your home, so they know where you are and what you offer. We handle all payments from guests, including taking a security deposit, and we are the main point of contact for them throughout the whole booking process.  We take responsibility for sending them directions and key codes where applicable.

When you want to use your home yourself, we don’t have any restrictions, all we do ask is that you keep us informed of any dates that you want.

We will assist you with all the legislation requirements for holiday letting, make sure you are up to date, and help you write access statements through to your welcome folder.

If you are looking to list elsewhere, then please just be vigilant and ensure that you know exactly what is being included for you.  If you have a mortgage then you may need to contact your provider to advise them that you are holiday letting.  If you have an apartment does your lease allow you to holiday let?  Sometimes if it seems too easy to list your home online without any support, it is often because corners have been cut which will inevitably lead to issues further down the line.
