Horsham is an important Sussex town in the north of the county close to the border with Surrey. It was once a major medieval market town and it still retains those market town traditions with a regular Saturday market. Horsham has four important areas, the Carfax, the Causeway with its parish church of St Mary’s, Bishopric and Normandy.
Holiday lets in the district around Horsham offer a tranquil retreat in glorious countryside that is never far from anywhere. St Leonard’s Forest and Buchan Park near Horsham have many fine walks and are perfect for those wanting pet friendly holiday breaks.
Horsham is also close to the Surrey Borders so visitor attractions like Leith Hill and Box Hill on the North Downs are not far away. Beautiful villages on the Surrey border with holiday cottages, such as Rusper, Coldharbour, Rudgwick and Ellens Green are also near to Horsham. They are in lovely rural settings so you are assured a great cottage holiday short break.
Enjoy visiting magnificent gardens from your holiday let. Nymans Gardens at Handcross, one of the most visited National Trust Gardens in the south of England is just east of Horsham, while to the south, picturesque villages like Slinfold, Copsale and Shipley offer real rural retreats and cottages in the heart of the Sussex Weald. Country churches and picturesque village greens to thriving, award-winning towns and beautiful gardens make up the north of Sussex.
Further to the south, popular holiday let destinations include Storrington and Steyning. These are two small rural towns that nestle at the foot of the South Downs and give excellent access to the South Downs Way and to Chanctonbury Ring and Cissbury Ring.
Nearby is the small market town of Henfield another good destination for holiday let accommodation. Both Henfield and Steyning are on the Downs Link path which links the North Downs with the South Downs between Guildford in Surrey and Shoreham-by-Sea on the Sussex coast. There are some ideal holiday let cottages along the Downs Link Path, in particular around Slinfold, Steyning and Henfield.
There are holiday let cottages in Bramber and Upper Beeding. These are two charming villages found on either side of the River Adur. A holiday here gives immediate access to river walks and wonderful views of the South Downs.
