The comfortable lounge area has two sofas with a woodburning stove at its centre and a large dining table with seating for six; ideal for family meals. There is entertainment available via a Smart television and WIFI throughout the property.

The well equipped kitchen, with a vaulted ceiling, has been fitted to a high specification with granite worktops and solid oak units and has a double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, a separate fridge and freezer as well as a useful washing machine. There is direct access to the rear courtyard and communal garden from here.

On the first floor is the bright and spacious principal bedroom which enjoys far reaching views towards the coast, this has its own ensuite shower room with underfloor heating. Also on this floor you will find the family bathroom with a large corner shower cubicle, a basin and WC. A tall heated towel rail will ensure warm towels within easy reach of the shower.

At the end of the first floor landing, a door leads to a second staircase taking you to the top floor of the cottage. The second double bedroom has views over the roof tops to the River Arun and the sea beyond. The third bedroom has a single bed (with a sofa bed available at a small supplement) and, from this side of the cottage, there is a direct view of Arundel Cathedral which is a short distance from the cottage.

Outside at the front of the cottage, the courtyard area offers a private and south facing space; a great spot for a morning coffee.

Unallocated on street parking is available to the front of the cottage and nearby.

Arundel and beyond

Eve's Cottage is situated within walking distance of all that Arundel has to offer with a multitude of craft and antique shops as well as restaurants and tearooms. It’s a great place to wander and just enjoy its hospitality.

Just a short stroll away is the impressive Arundel Castle which is the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk and is set in 40 acres of sweeping grounds and gardens. The castle has been seasonally open to visitors for nearly 200 years. It is one of the great treasure houses of England and is home to priceless works of art in stunning rooms. Climbing the 131 steps to the Keep, which dates from the 11th century, to take in the views over Arundel and The South Downs is definitely worth the effort. Beyond the castle grounds Arundel Park extends north towards the Downs offering many fine walks. A two mile walk to the top affords fantastic downland views and south to the coast.

The River Arun winds its way around the town and is a magnet for wildlife. With more than 60 acres of ponds, lakes and reed beds, Arundel Wetland Trust attracts some of the worlds most spectacular ducks, geese and swans. The best way to enjoy the river is on a river cruise stopping off at the Black Rabbit pub or proceeding further north where the river hugs the scarp wooded slope at the foot of the Downs before reaching Amberley.

Further afield Arundel is well placed for the coast. Climping Beach and Littlehampton’s West Beach are only a short drive away from Eve's Cottage. This is a beautiful unspoilt length of beach of Special Scientific Interest. At the eastern end beside the mouth of the River Arun is the West Beach Café, built by local craftsmen using materials sourced locally. It is worth a visit, the fish and chips come highly recommended!

Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses are nearby along with the cathedral city of Chichester with its excellent Festival Theatre noted for not only the quality of productions but also the fact many world premieres are featured as well.

If you fancy a day in the city, Arundel mainline station is on a direct route to London, so why not mix the cosmopolitan capital with this beautiful part of Sussex?

Perfect cottage for a family holiday

"Eve?s Cottage was the perfect place for a week away with our 14 month old. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. It was a great location in Arundel, easy walking distance to everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed eating breakfast at The Loft at Sparks Yard. Ian was so helpful and accommodating before and during our holiday, ensuring that we had a great stay. We would love to come back and have already recommended Eve?s Cottage to our family! "

Great holiday

"We had a great holiday in Arundel at Eve?s Cottage. The position of the cottage was spot on the town centre was on the doorstep We found the cottage well equipped clean and fresh with a small courtyard that had lovely plants around the walls, there was seating and a table in the yard. The parking was also good I would recommend the cottage, but a little small for 6 people"
