Holiday cottage, Hastings, East Sussex
Excellent accommodation for two.
"Had a lovely week in Millenium Cottage. Cottage very well equipped and very clean. Its a credit to Susan and Rod."
A perfect romantic retreat
"We were greeted by very helpful owners who were very friendly and accommodating. Had a very relaxing time at an immaculately clean cottage, having everything we needed for a short break. A short walk into the old town, but is a hill on the way back. The cottage was very comfortable to stay in and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Absolutely superb accommodation. Spotless throughout & everything possible supplied. 20 minute walk to old town where you can find excellent restaurants."
Very nice appartment near centre Hastings
"We had a very nice time in Millenium cottage. It was very clean and all we need was available in the house. Susan and Rod are very kindly hosts. It is a short walk to the centre of Hastings. A busstop is about 50 meter from the house. To London by train is a comfortable trip. We would recommend this property to our friends. "

Great stay at millennium cottage
"We had a lovely stay at Millennium cottage. A real peaceful setting in the middle of Hastings. Loved that Bi fold doors that opened onto balcony and overlooked the garden. Very spacious accommodation and we had all we needed for a great break. Lots of interesting places to visit and lovely walks and views in Hasting Country park."
Lovely, light filled cottage.
"We loved this cottage. It was unique in design with a soaring ceiling and a wall of windowed doors that opened up to a balcony overlooking a vast green space. The kitchen was well appointed, furniture was comfortable and the entire cottage was light filled. The owners, Rod and Susan were on hand to answer any questions and provided lots of sightseeing information. The on-site parking was an added bonus. Highly recommended."
You enter the apartment into a spacious hallway. Off the hallway, there is a utility room with room to store bicycles should you wish to bring them with you. The bathroom is on the lower level and has an unusual Turkish style, tiled, deep bath, ample room for two, and also a wall mounted shower attachment over the bath.
The main living area is upstairs. The exposed beams, high ceilings and glass bi-folding doors to the balcony, give this space a light and airy feel. The open plan has a modern, fitted kitchen, a dining area and a cosy lounge with a gas fire as a focal point. The wow factor with Millennium cottage is the balcony, that stretches the full length of the rear of the property and has views towards the ‘Firehills’ and surrounding properties. Here you can sit and enjoy an early morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, as the lights are slowly switched on and the stars twinkle above.
The bedroom is off the lounge and has everything to make your stay comfortable, with a separate WC and hand basin.
Guests have access to the summer house at the end of the garden, which is secluded and tranquil.
Millennium cottage is about a twenty minute stroll to Hastings Old Town, it is located in an elevated position, so the walk into town is a little harder on the return journey. There is a bus route that drops you within minutes of the property if you wish to make the return journey easier. There is a local shop just 5 minutes away and a good choice of supermarkets all within a 15 minute car journey.
The apartment is in the perfect position for walkers wishing to explore the Firehills and Hastings Country Park, all within easy walking distance.
Hastings Old Town is picturesque and quaint, with a mixture of antique shops, boutiques and cafes. The town is famous for the biggest beach fishing fleet in Europe and much of the tradition has been kept. The net drying huts and fishing fleet can be found on the beach today, along with the many fresh fish stalls. The recently opened Jerwood Gallery is found close by and The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Museum is worth a visit.
The Hastings Country Park is over 267 hectares of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland together with three miles (5km) of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Lying within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Beauty, most of the park has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a designated Local Nature Reserve.
You are of course in 1066 Country and with that comes, Castles, National Trust Gardens and Grand Houses, plenty to visit during your stay but too many for me to list. Please visit our 'Places to Visit' for East Sussex to learn more.
