Meet the team

Andrew Gardner

I am very lucky to have the South Downs right on my doorstep and privileged since as part of my job I am able to see and appreciate what Sussex and the South Downs have to offer.

In the office I try and keep everything functioning smoothly and show a little direction but it's the other guys here that make it all happen!

When not working it's a bit of a busman's holiday for me since whenever possible I like to get out and enjoy the Sussex countryside finding places old and new to enjoy!

Beverly Reece

You may realise from my accent that I am not from these shores!  I grew up in Durban, South Africa but made England my home many years ago, and have lived in West Sussex for over 15 years now.

I joined the team at Amberley House Cottages in March 2016 and have worked in the travel industry since 2012. Prior to that I was in the fitness industry and still enjoy the fitness lifestyle. I absolutely love the outdoors and have a passion for running.

Diane Lay

I have lived in Sussex for over 30 years. I live with my family in the beautiful village of Bury in the South Downs. I have worked in the travel industry for more years than I am willing to admit but I am still passionate about selling holidays especially to such a beautiful area that we live in.

In my spare time I am a fan of motor racing and we always attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Revival meetings every year with our 1978 MGB. We also have great fun walking our West Highland Terrier along the beaches of Sussex and on the South Downs.

Jacqui Maxted

I have worked in the holiday let industry since 2002, and with the team at Amberley since 2011. I love the challenge that comes with signing up a new client and exploring a new area.

I work from the Rye office and although I now live in Camber, I grew up and lived in Kent for many years giving me many great memories and a real knowledge of the county.

Julian Gaydon

I have lived in West Sussex for over 25 years, and love the combination of coast and countryside that this part of England has to offer.  In the office I help with bookings, provide I.T support and look after the finances.

In my spare time I enjoy visits to the theatre, especially Chichester Festival Theatre; gardening and walking.  I am also a fan of classic cars and have first hand experience of many of the local tea shops and breakfast venues!

Lauraine Jones

After living abroad for 20 years, I am reacquainting myself with the beautiful Sussex countryside and am loving discovering new places to visit and experience.

With my hospitality background working within the hotel and private  yachting sectors, I am excited to be a part of developing the holiday lettings market within Sussex and East Hampshire. My role is to offer  owners guidance on how to best present their properties to make them as comfortable as possible for our guests.

In my spare time, I enjoy tending to my garden and walking in the South Downs National Park.  I also love going to the horse racing events at Goodwood and Ascot when the opportunity arises.
